CNN —The Los Angeles Lakers produced their highest scoring night in 37 years on Monday, outlasting the Indiana Pacers 150-145 in a clash between two potent offenses. The Lakers, led by the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, had four players score at least 25 points in what was the team’s highest scoring game of the season. Indiana held a six-point lead after the first quarter before a scoring explosion from LA saw the team put up 86 points across the second and third quarters alone. “We played (the Pacers) in the (In-Season Tournament) championship, and we know how high-powered an offense they are,” said James. We don’t need to give them life, but at this point in the season, a win is a win.

Captioned "That one friend that's just 'there' in the friend group," it showed a third-wheeling friend consistently left out of the group's inside jokes. Many of the comments related to being a "floater friend," a term that's become popular online to describe feeling like you're always in the background of every friend group. It also reduces the chances that I'm treating someone else like the floater friend. "And while there is some value in having a friend group, it's also not a necessary friendship experience." Being real with myself meant accepting that I will always, at some point, feel like the floater friend in every group because groups are just not where I shine.

They probably form the same way other planets do: within the swirling disk of gas and dust surrounding an infant star. But unlike their planetary siblings, these worlds get violently chucked out of their celestial neighborhoods. Astronomers had once calculated that billions of planets had gone rogue in the Milky Way. Now, scientists at NASA and Osaka University in Japan are upping the estimate to trillions. The existence of wandering worlds orphaned from their star systems has long been known, but poorly understood.

Just over a minute into an early-December game against the Phoenix Suns, Luka Doncic dribbled behind a teammate’s screen. This routine action becomes, in the hands of the Dallas Mavericks’ 23-year-old dynamo, a drastic and multifaceted threat. Doncic might sling a pass across the span of an overanxious defense, to an unmarked teammate in the distant corner. That evening, Doncic went with another option, sticking his rump into Devin Booker and scooting him backward into the lane. By the time Doncic raised up for a 8-foot push shot, Booker could only smack his arm, tacking a free-throw onto the bucket.
